It was chosen after a thorough search for a location that could deliver a genuinely world-class training environment while staying close to the city and well connected by transport. There's also a personal connection: Woolsington Hall was bought by former chairman Sir John Hall in 1994, who always envisaged it becoming a training centre for Newcastle United. This project revolutionises that initial vision more than 30 years on.
